Murphy, who was also caretaker manager at this stage last season after Peter Jackson's departure, took charge of Huddersfield for the first time since Andy Ritchie was sacked against Rovers.
He said: "I won't be going for the job. I guarantee anyone interested will have been here for this game to look at the ability of the players and to look around the place."
On the draw against Rovers, Murphy added: "We got a point but are a little bit disappointed we didn't get all three.
"I thought we kept our shape and discipline well throughout the game. We got done for the second equaliser but Rovers are not a bad side.
"I was pleased with the performance. The players were prepared to put their bodies on the line. We asked them to show passion and pride to wear the shirts and I thought they did that."
