Six surfers take part in Asian Beach Games 2008

Six local surfers will take part in the Asian Beach Games (ABG) 2008 to be held in Bali next October.

The six got the tickets to the event after passing the national selection in Surabaya, East Java, deputy secretary of the local branch`s National Sports Committee (KONI) Nukhrawi Nawir said on Tuesday.

The six are Fadly Faizal, Suyuti, Wahyu, Rivanti Natalia, M Taufik and M Nur Alif, he said. Chairman of the local branch`s Indonesian Association for Athletic (PASI) Andi Ilhamsyah Mattalatta said the Asian Beach Games would compete beach and water sports, including rowing, water sky, synchronized-swimming, beach volley ball and diving.
